The Low-Pressure PX is an energy recovery device designed for brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) and water reuse in municipal and industrial applications, offering substantial energy savings and ease of integration. As part of Energy Recovery’s PX® Pressure Exchanger® portfolio, the Low-Pressure PX drives operational efficiency in clean water production for low-pressure systems, providing a sustainable path to lower operational energy. By reducing the energy consumption of low-pressure reverse osmosis, it reduces the emissions associated with industrial and municipal reuse, enabling a circular water economy and helping prevent harmful discharge into the environment.

Built with corrosion-resistant ceramic components and a simple design with only one moving part, the Low-Pressure PX can reduce specific energy consumption (SEC) by up to 30% versus a system without energy recovery. Its modular, scalable design makes it well-suited for both new facilities and retrofit applications while reducing required pump size, CAPEX, and installation risk.

The Low-Pressure PX offers a flow capacity of approximately 7 to 59 m³/hr (30 to 260 gpm) and operates at pressures up to 31 bar (450 psi). It achieves up to 95% peak efficiency, with industry-leading uptime of 99.8%.
