Rusco also offers a range of replacement filter cartridges for the existing housing of most competitors, with four filter media options, including Pleated, String, Melt Blown, and Activated Carbon.
The Melt Blown filters have excellent dirt-holding capacity for removing oil, silt, grease, rust/iron, and particulates, while String wound cartridges are often used for scaling down sediments such as sand, rust, and scale. Pleated filters have high surface areas that resist chemical and bacterial growth, making them ideal for removing suspended solids.
Activated Carbon filters, having the highest surface area of any filter, are excellent at removing pollutants such as odors, taste, organic compounds, and chemicals.
