Ramboll has appointed Simon Jefferson as Water Sector Lead for the UK and Ireland, strengthening its water-sector work across sustainability, resilience and infrastructure delivery.
Global architecture, engineering and sustainability consultancy Ramboll has appointed Simon Jefferson as Water Sector Lead for the UK and Ireland.
In the role, Jefferson will lead Ramboll’s water practice across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on client relationships, project delivery and sustainable growth.
Ramboll said the appointment will support its work across the water sector as utilities and their supply chains respond to investment, resilience and sustainability challenges.
Simon Jefferson to lead Ramboll water practice
Jefferson has 20 years’ experience in senior commercial roles in the water sector, working on both the client and contractor side.
He also has more than 10 years’ senior experience in a regulated water business.
Ramboll said he will focus on developing client relationships, increasing stakeholder engagement and supporting the growth and development of Ramboll’s projects and team.
The company’s wider water services cover areas including water supply, treatment, water resources management, wastewater treatment, resource recovery, water infrastructure, climate resilience and nature-based solutions.
Role focuses on sustainable water-sector growth
As Water Sector Lead, Jefferson will be responsible for supporting Ramboll’s ambition to act as a partner for sustainable change for new and existing clients across the sector.
The company said commercial best practice, sustainable growth opportunities and added-value solutions for end customers will be central to the role.
Ramboll has around 1,800 experts across the UK and Ireland and works across engineering, architecture, environmental consultancy and sustainability services.
