Curio Water has secured a maintenance and asset audit contract with Severn Trent Water to support ozone plant operations at Campion Hills Water Treatment Works.
The agreement covers planned preventative maintenance, asset condition reporting and operational support for ozone treatment equipment at the Severn Trent site.
Curio Water contract covers Campion Hills ozone plant
Under the contract, Curio Water will deliver an annual service and inspection programme at Campion Hills Water Treatment Works.
The scope includes planned preventative maintenance of the Xylem ozone plant installation, including an annual service visit and a six-monthly health check.
Curio will also provide emergency telephone support and prioritised site response throughout the agreement.
Asset audits to support maintenance planning
The contract includes enhanced asset auditing across key components of the ozone system.
Curio Water will provide condition reports covering gas detectors, feed gas systems, cooling water, ozone generators, power supply units, destructors and contact tank equipment.
The reporting is intended to help Severn Trent plan maintenance investment and support longer-term ozone strategy and AMP investment planning.
Ozone treatment remains important for drinking water
Ozone is used in water treatment for oxidation and disinfection, helping utilities manage water quality and treatment performance.
Curio Water describes itself as a specialist provider of ozone, UV and filtration services for the water industry. The company provides services across ozone water treatment, UV and filtration systems.
Severn Trent has listed Campion Hills Water Treatment Works among sites where investment and maintenance work is needed to secure water supplies for the future. Severn Trent’s Campion Hills project page identifies the site as part of its planned improvements programme.
Curio says contract supports ozone asset care
Howard Marles, Founder and CEO of Curio Group, said: “This contract with Severn Trent is another step in our commitment to raising the standard of ozone asset care — and to ensuring that these systems continue to perform safely and reliably for the communities they serve. Ozone systems play a vital role in delivering clean water across the UK, and we believe the industry deserves a maintenance partner that truly understands the technology.”
The company said the agreement demonstrates its wider service offer for ozone systems, including parts and consumables management, gas detector service kits, compressor and dryer filters, ozone generator inlet filters, and residual analyser service kits.
