OSSO targets municipal and industrial growth with £3m water treatment fleet investment

OSSO water treatment fleet investment

Aberdeen-based OSSO has invested £3 million in its water treatment fleet following over £3.5 million in contract wins in Q1 2026, doubling its construction sector revenue in FY25. The investment introduces new MBBR and DAF technology alongside further WTS20 units, broadening OSSO’s capability across industrial and municipal wastewater treatment markets. Two new hires in business development and engineering have also been made to support growing demand.

OSSO, the specialist provider of fluid temperature control and separation solutions, has invested a further £3 million in its water treatment fleet as it targets growth across construction, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment markets.

The investment follows strong growth for OSSO’s water treatment offering, with demand for its WTS20 system helping double construction sector revenue in FY25. More than 30 WTS20 units are now deployed across construction and infrastructure projects, and in 2026 the company secured more than £3.5 million in water treatment contracts in the first quarter alone.

As part of its latest fleet expansion, OSSO has introduced new Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) units and Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems, alongside further investment in WTS20 units and supporting water treatment equipment.

Broadening Treatment Capability

James Scullion, CEO at OSSO, said: “This marks an important step in the continued expansion of our water treatment offering. We have built a strong position in construction and, with opportunities in municipal and industrial water treatment growing quickly, we are investing to meet that demand. We have seen significant revenue growth, enabling us to grow the team, strengthen the fleet and build an offering that can support a wider range of customers.”

The addition of MBBRs and DAFs strengthens OSSO’s ability to provide more complete water treatment solutions by combining biological treatment with solids separation for sites facing higher contaminant loads, tighter discharge consents, seasonal changes in effluent, or the need for temporary and supplementary treatment capacity.

MBBRs provide biological treatment capacity by supporting the growth of bacteria that break down contaminants in wastewater, while DAF systems use flotation-based separation to remove suspended solids, oils, greases and excess biological material.

Team Expansion to Support Demand

Tristan Hughes, Business Unit Manager at OSSO, said: “The continued investment in our WTS20 units and solids removal systems, alongside the introduction of MBBRs and DAFs, gives us a stronger platform to support industrial and municipal customers with more complex wastewater treatment requirements. These sectors often need systems that can manage variable flows, changing effluent profiles, solids loading and additional capacity requirements. By broadening the technologies we can deploy, this investment gives us greater flexibility to tailor treatment solutions to each site and strengthens our position as a full water treatment solutions provider.”

OSSO has also expanded its water treatment team with two new hires, adding business development and engineering resource to support regional project delivery, customer engagement and technical input during system planning and deployment.

Headquartered in Aberdeen, OSSO is an integrated rental and maintenance provider of fluid purification, water management, PHE and heat transfer solutions, operating worldwide across the energy, industrial and construction industries.
