Lakeside Equipment Corporation, a US provider of wastewater equipment and process solutions, has appointed two new members to the Lakeside Equipment sales team. The company said the move is intended to keep pace with its expanding customer base.

William (Billy) Sinclair Mignin III joins as Regional Sales Manager, and Billy Freund joins the sales team. Both have previously worked elsewhere in the water and wastewater sector.

Regional sales manager for the Midwest

Mignin, 37, will oversee an 11-state territory across the Midwest. According to the company, he brings extensive experience across various aspects of the water and wastewater industry.

He was most recently Business Development Manager for Watson McDaniel, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer specialising in steam, condensate, pressure and control valve systems.

Treatment process experience from Walker Process Equipment

Freund, 23, was previously with Walker Process Equipment in Aurora, Illinois, where he gained broad experience in project management.

Lakeside said his knowledge of grit handling equipment, biological treatment and clarification equipment gives him a solid understanding of its product line. Grit handling, biological treatment and clarification are each stages in the treatment of wastewater.

Strengthening the Lakeside Equipment sales team ahead of its centenary

Lakeside is employee-owned and will celebrate 100 years in business in 2028. Its president, Dan Widdel, pointed to the length of service among existing staff while describing the appointments as preparation for the future.

“As we approach our centenary, there are 12 of us at our employee-owned company who have completed an incredible combined service record of more than 300 years (!) – but of course we also have to look to the future,” said Widdel.

“Bringing in two outstanding new young individuals is a carefully considered and pivotal move for us at a time when our products and knowledge are in more demand than ever,” he added.

Introduction at WEFTEC

Widdel said the two new recruits had recently represented the company at WEFTEC, the annual technical exhibition and conference organised by the Water Environment Federation.

“‘Billy M and Billy F’ bring plenty to the table, as they recently demonstrated at WEFTEC with their first-class professional approach. We are very pleased to have them on board as part of the Lakeside team as we look forward to celebrating our 100 years in business in 2028,” he said.
