Innovative liquid leak detection solution provider LAIIER today announced that its Severn WLD™ water leak detection device is now interoperable with the Netmore LoRaWAN® network.

Having passed rigorous technical testing to achieve interoperability, Severn WLD devices can now be used to detect water leaks by any business operating Netmore public or private networks worldwide.

“We are delighted that Severn WLD is now interoperable with and recommended on Netmore’s network,” commented LAIIER Co-founder and CEO Matt Johnson.

“As a prominent provider of LoRaWAN network services, Netmore is an ideal partner to help us increase our footprint in commercial and industrial settings. We look forward to supporting their customers in minimizing damage and downtime through early water leak detection.”

First launched in October 2022, Severn WLD is a smart water leak detector that uses a smart adhesive tape to detect water leaks as small as two drops of water. A second generation of the device was subsequently launched in January 2024, providing significant enhancements including device and battery efficiency, field performance, and physical robustness.

“We’re thrilled to bring LAIIER’s Severn WLD into our portfolio of Netmore-interoperable devices,” said Noelani McGadden, Vice President of Strategic Accounts.

“We pride ourselves on offering the most innovative and reliable solutions to our customers, across a broad range of sensing use cases. LAIIER’s water leak detection solution delivers on both counts, and we’re excited to introduce it to our customers.”
