GF launches LiquidCore Engineered Flow Solution for direct-to-chip liquid cooling

Engineer designing a liquid cooling flow system using GF’s LiquidCore Engineered Flow Solution
Written by H2O Team

GF has launched LiquidCore, a complete polymer piping system designed specifically for direct-to-chip liquid cooling in high-density artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The system delivers stable, clean, and energy-efficient coolant flow between the coolant distribution unit (CDU) and the cold plate, supporting the growing demand for sustainable data centre cooling infrastructure.

Direct-to-chip cooling places significant demands on coolant distribution, hydraulic stability, and purity. GF’s new LiquidCore Engineered Flow Solution combines advanced polymer piping, fittings, valves, actuation, instrumentation, engineered manifolds, jointing solutions, and precision pre-fabrication into one integrated system.

Complete engineered Flow Solution

  • Distribution system: Pre-fabricated high-performance polymer liquid-to-rack piping system for reliable coolant distribution.
  • Rack integration: The patented Quick Connect Valve 700 delivers 25% better flow performance, is over 50% lighter than metal alternatives, and enables safe and rapid rack integration.
  • In-rack manifold: Custom-designed manifolds ensure consistent coolant distribution across every port, maintaining thermal stability under high computational loads.
  • Valve actuation and instrumentation: Precision control of flow and measurement optimises energy use and ensures consistent system performance.

GF’s global engineering and pre-fabrication services provide 3D design, hydraulic analysis, material selection, and infrared jointing within controlled environments. This approach shortens installation times, minimises on-site labour, and ensures high-quality, reliable cooling infrastructure for mission-critical systems.

Driving sustainability and efficiency

Built on over 30 years of expertise in semiconductor and high-purity fluid handling, LiquidCore leverages proven polymer technologies ideal for deionised water and PG25 coolants. Compared with traditional metal systems, GF’s polymer Flow Solution offers:

  • 100% corrosion-free operation
  • Up to 80% lower CO₂ footprint*
  • 4× faster installation through pre-fabrication*
  • 30% improved thermal insulation*

*Compared with metal alternatives

Certified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and complete traceability across manufacturing and installation enable data centre operators to meet environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives without compromising cooling performance.

Charles Freda, Global Head of Data Centres at GF Industry & Infrastructure Flow Solutions, said:
“With LiquidCore, we combine our materials expertise and global design and pre-fabrication footprint to help scale AI computing efficiently and sustainably. By extending our polymer Flow Solutions from chiller to chip, we enable fully integrated cooling systems for the entire data centre environment.”
