Emerson has expanded its AVENTICS XV pneumatic valve platform with a higher-flow version designed for compact automation systems.
The AVENTICS XV05 High Flow Valve System provides airflow of up to 1,200 litres per minute. It is intended for applications requiring greater pneumatic capacity without moving to a larger valve platform.
Higher flow within the XV05 platform
The new model increases the maximum flow capacity from 1,000 litres per minute for the standard XV05 to 1,200 litres per minute. Emerson has achieved the increase through larger ports and dedicated high-flow fittings.
The High Flow variant retains the existing platform’s architecture, electrical connection options and communication protocols. Standard and High Flow modules can also be combined within a single valve system, allowing designers to allocate the higher capacity only where it is required.
Emerson said this compatibility could help original equipment manufacturers increase airflow without changing the wider pneumatic architecture of a machine. The approach may also reduce the redesign work associated with moving to a larger valve platform.
