The PX Q400 is Energy Recovery’s highest-capacity pressure exchanger, which recovers wasted pressure energy in reverse osmosis water treatment systems to reduce energy consumption.

The PX works by transferring hydraulic energy from the high-pressure concentrated brine stream to the incoming low-pressure feed stream, thereby reducing the flow through the high-pressure pump. At 77 dB, it is also Energy Recovery’s quietest PX yet.
