Cerafiltec semiconductor water treatment Taiwan collaboration has been strengthened through an expanded partnership with Cerafiltec and HopeGood Taiwan, targeting advanced filtration solutions for one of the world’s most critical semiconductor manufacturing hubs.
The agreement will see HopeGood act as a preferred partner for Cerafiltec in Taiwan, focusing on high-performance industrial water treatment applications, particularly within the semiconductor sector.
Cerafiltec semiconductor water treatment Taiwan partnership expands market reach
Taiwan plays a central role in global semiconductor production, where water quality and reliability are essential to maintaining fabrication processes. The strengthened collaboration combines Cerafiltec’s ceramic ultrafiltration membrane technology with HopeGood’s established presence in the local market.
HopeGood provides filtration systems, integration services and maintenance, and represents several global technology providers including DuPont, Xylem, Energy Recovery, Asahi Kasei and Pentair.
Successful pilot confirms ceramic membrane performance
A key milestone in the partnership was the successful pilot of ceramic ultrafiltration membranes for semiconductor back-grind wastewater treatment. The pilot demonstrated stable performance and high filtration efficiency under demanding conditions.
The results support the wider use of ceramic membranes in complex industrial wastewater streams, with further testing programmes already underway to explore additional applications.
Cost and operational benefits drive adoption
Ceramic ultrafiltration systems offer advantages in both capital and operational expenditure. Higher flux rates and compact system designs can reduce upfront costs, while durability and reduced cleaning requirements contribute to lower long-term operating expenses.
This combination is particularly relevant for semiconductor facilities, where reliability and efficiency are critical to maintaining production output.
Growing demand for advanced industrial water treatment
The partnership reflects increasing demand for advanced water treatment technologies in semiconductor manufacturing, where water reuse, treatment performance and system resilience are becoming increasingly important.
Both companies expect the collaboration to support broader deployment across fabrication facilities and related industries in Taiwan.
