BioMicrobics, a global manufacturer of integrated water solutions, has celebrated its 25th anniversary. The company has spent a quarter of a century in the water and wastewater treatment industry, manufacturing wastewater, greywater, recycling and water reuse treatment systems to provide solutions for small communities, commercial properties and decentralised homes. BioMicrobics has committed itself to creating technology to aid in efficient water management.
In 1996, BioMicrobics started designing and implementing SingleHomeFAST® with its first international sale to Lebanon; then to Latvia and Libya. Since then, BioMicrobics, together with its growing global distributor network, has grown greatly and has now implemented more than 80,000 systems worldwide.
After the Clean Water Act was establish in 1972, a new approach to onsite wastewater was required to meet the higher standards for direct discharge from marine vessels. It was the only water regulation in existence at the time and it was the (marine) FAST® wastewater treatment system that met and exceeded the requirements. Many of the FAST® units installed in the 1970’s are still functioning to this day and still in compliance even with today’s more stringent standards being implemented.
BioMicrobics President Bob Rebori said: “25 years of Simple – Low Cost – Robust systems. The idea of simple, low cost, and robust is not only a mantra entrenched in everything we do. It’s the secret to our success. A lot of experience goes into the product development and real world applications in wastewater, stormwater, greywater, water, ballast water treatment systems land and sea. Here’s to another 25 years of Better Water Better World”.
