Blue Ocean Solids announced on International Women’s Day that it will become a Women Business Enterprise. Blue Ocean’s President, Marc Beller, announced that current Director of Sales and Marketing, Kathleen Collier, will become an owner in the company and that she and Tracy Beller are now the majority owners.

From Marc Beller,
“What a great day to announce the new direction of Blue Ocean Solids LLC! Kathleen Collier will become an owner in Blue Ocean and will continue as Director of Sales and Marketing.  Kathleen is committed to making a difference on this planet and has the dedication to help grow our business with integrity, hard-work, and passion. This is not about gender equality; it is about people getting what they deserve. As a dad of two daughters, I cannot think of a better way to show them that Blue Ocean will succeed with two incredibly competent individuals that happen to be women.”

Blue Ocean Solids is a supplier of water treatment chemistry for cooling towers, boilers and closed  loop systems. Treatment is necessary in this expensive equipment for protection from scale, corrosion and biological fouling. Because of BLUE OCEAN products’ solid form, they have benefits that positively affect all three pillars of sustainability – PEOPLE, PLANET and PROFIT.

By choosing Blue Ocean solid products instead of hazardous liquid chemicals, a facility can realize many benefits that result in safer and more sustainable operations. Some of the benefits include:
• No exposure to hazardous liquid chemicals
• Easier and safer handling
• Reduced carbon footprint
• Water savings
• Shipping savings
• Reduced injury liability
