Acuriant Technologies has established a Philippine subsidiary as part of its expansion in Southeast Asia.
Acuriant Technologies (Philippines), Inc. will provide a permanent local operation through which the membrane filtration company can support customers, deliver projects and work with water utilities, engineering companies and infrastructure partners.
Local support for Philippine water projects
Acuriant said the subsidiary would strengthen its ability to provide in-country project execution and customer support. It will also give the company a local base from which to develop partnerships across the Philippine water sector.
“The establishment of Acuriant Technologies Philippines represents an important milestone in our regional growth strategy,” said Jürgen von Hollen, chief executive officer of Acuriant Technologies.
Von Hollen said the company intends to combine its filtration technology and project experience with local partnerships. He identified resilient water infrastructure and long-term water security as significant priorities for the Philippine market.
Ceramic ultrafiltration in the Philippines
Acuriant already has experience in Philippine municipal water treatment through its Nanostone ceramic ultrafiltration technology. The membranes are used to treat source waters affected by changing levels of suspended solids, organic material and other contaminants.
One previous deployment involved the Laguna Lake Modular Treatment Plant developed with Maynilad Water Services. The project uses pressurised ceramic ultrafiltration as part of a compact plant designed to treat 20 million litres of water per day.
H2O Global News previously reported on the Nanostone and Maynilad installation at Laguna Lake. The facility was developed to address variable raw-water quality while providing additional drinking-water capacity in southern Metro Manila.
Supporting Southeast Asian expansion
Preetha Nair, Acuriant’s managing director for Southeast Asia, said the subsidiary follows sustained customer engagement and technology validation in the country.
“Our focus now is to translate that foundation into dependable project execution, responsive in-country support and lasting value for our customers,” Nair said.
The company expects the Philippine subsidiary to support further growth across Southeast Asia. Its target applications include municipal drinking water, surface-water treatment, wastewater reuse, desalination pretreatment and industrial water treatment.
Acuriant was formed in 2025 through the combination of Nanostone Water and polymeric membrane specialist Solecta. The company now supplies ceramic and polymeric membrane technologies for municipal water, industrial water, food and beverage, dairy and life-sciences applications.
Further background is available in H2O Global News’ coverage of the formation of Acuriant Technologies and its subsequent launch of a containerised Nanostone ceramic ultrafiltration system.
