Awarded by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the P.E. license represents a rigorous standard of ethics, responsibility, and technical proficiency. To qualify, engineers must complete a four-year degree, accumulate at least eight years of experience under a licensed P.E., pass two comprehensive exams, and be licensed by their state’s board.

Sriram, who joined WaterSurplus in 2016, possesses over 10 years of water treatment expertise. As Mechanical Engineering Manager, he leads the company’s team of mechanical engineers and designers. He has played a vital role in WaterSurplus’s Research and Development efforts and has overseen the creation of standardized designs for the company’s cutting-edge treatment systems. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Among his achievements in R&D, Sriram is co-inventor of WaterSurplus’s patented NanoScope™ technology—an innovative feature of the company’s revolutionary ImpactRO™ reverse osmosis system. This advanced monitoring system not only detects RO performance changes at previously undetectable levels but also allows predictive analytics and machine learning to anticipate membrane fouling and trigger preemptive corrective actions automatically.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Sriram on this significant achievement,” said John Barelli, President and Owner of WaterSurplus. “His dedication, expertise, and forward-thinking vision continue to make him an indispensable part of our team.”
