In your experience, what is the most effective method for promoting water stewardship among companies and organizations?

The most effective way to promote water stewardship is to integrate it into a company’s sustainability strategy, backed by leadership commitment and clear, measurable goals. Engaging employees through training and awareness embeds stewardship in the culture, while collaboration with communities, peers, and NGOs amplifies impact. Transparent reporting builds trust and drives continuous improvement. Setting actionable goals ensures alignment with strategy and operations. Importantly, governmental incentives and robust regulations further motivate companies to prioritize water stewardship, accelerating progress and compliance. This comprehensive approach ensures water stewardship is both a core value and a measurable, ongoing priority.

How do you balance the need for economic growth with protecting freshwater resources in areas where industries heavily rely on them?

Balancing economic growth with the protection of freshwater resources isn’t just possible—it’s essential, and the two goals can actually reinforce one another. Economic progress is crucial, but it must be paired with responsible water management. Key practices include creating new water sources such as desalinated water where feasible, maximizing water conservation across industrial, agricultural, and municipal sectors by utilizing advanced technologies and preventing water losses, and reusing and recycling wastewater to the greatest extent possible. These measures help reduce pressure on natural freshwater supplies while supporting continued industrial and economic activity. By integrating these strategies, it is possible to promote robust economic growth while ensuring the long-term health and resilience of freshwater ecosystems.

How does your company promote healthy coastlines and freshwater ecosystems?

We are committed to protecting and revitalizing coastlines and freshwater ecosystems through innovative, environmentally responsible practices. By providing sustainable freshwater via desalination, we help reduce stress on natural water sources, allowing them to recover and thrive. Our advanced desalination plants utilize cutting-edge treatment methods and employ highly effective discharge systems – such as precision diffusers and dispersal models – that not only meet but exceed regulatory standards. These technologies ensure that water returned to the environment is of high quality and has minimal ecological impact, supporting the long-term health of both coastal and freshwater habitats.
