Usalco has appointed digital water entrepreneur Megan Glover as chief digital officer, as the North American water treatment company expands its digital solutions business.

Glover will lead Usalco’s Digital Solutions Division and oversee the strategy and commercialisation of Decision Blue, the company’s treatment intelligence platform for water operators.

The appointment follows Usalco’s launch of its Digital Solutions Division in June 2026, when the company said it would expand its digital, data and artificial intelligence capabilities for municipal and industrial water treatment customers.

Digital water leadership

Glover brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling technology companies. She is best known in the water sector as founder and former chief executive of 120Water, a U.S. digital water company that supports drinking water systems and regulators.

At Usalco, she will lead new product introduction, digital services, AI capabilities and data-driven offerings that complement the company’s established water treatment chemicals and process solutions.

“Megan has spent her career building category-defining technology businesses that solve complex challenges,” said Ken Gayer, chief executive officer of Usalco.

“Her experience innovating and scaling software and services companies, combined with her deep understanding of the water industry, makes her uniquely qualified to lead our new Digital Solutions Division.”

Decision Blue platform to support operators

Usalco said Decision Blue is designed to help water operators make more confident and better-informed operational decisions. The platform supports treatment workflows with recommendations, predictive analytics, operational insights and digital workflows.

The company says the platform is intended to connect chemistry and data in a single system, helping operators manage increasingly complex treatment decisions.

Across the water sector, utilities and industrial operators are dealing with workforce shortages, ageing infrastructure, tighter regulations and rising pressure to optimise treatment while controlling costs.

“The water treatment landscape is ready for innovation, and we’re in a new era of what’s technically feasible compared to even a few years ago,” said Glover.

“When I first heard the vision from Usalco’s leadership and its board of directors, I knew they had identified real, unmet customer needs that we could address together.”

Chemistry and data

Usalco said its long-term digital strategy is based on combining treatment expertise with digital intelligence, including software, connected devices, digital services and strategic partnerships.

The company expects Decision Blue to become a foundational part of its growth strategy across municipal and industrial water treatment.

“Usalco is at an incredible inflection point,” Glover said. “Its recent acquisitions, talented team, and customer reach, paired with an unmatched ability to connect chemistry and data in a single platform, put us in a position to support water operators every day.”

Gayer said the company’s customers are facing increasing operational complexity and need tools that support day-to-day decision-making.

“Decision Blue is our commitment to helping them navigate that future with the same trusted partnership they’ve relied on from Usalco for decades,” he said.

More information about Usalco’s Decision Blue platform is available on the company’s website.
