This growing number of water companies and contractors are choosing to use pontoon for their repair and maintenance projects because decommissioning, draining, and scaffolding is expensive, time consuming and often unnecessary. Most of the work required in PSTs, FSTs, HSTs and aeration lanes is accessible from the safety of a pontoon and will get to the work site quickly and safely.
Disruption to the site is kept to a minimum with a pontoon. A full access working platform can be installed and moored to the gantry, ensuring the tank can remain fully operation whilst the pontoon is not in use. This gives clients the ability to work to their own schedule with the pontoon in situ without the pressure of a tight timeline.
As more practitioners, dealing with a variety of ageing infrastructure, within the sector come into contact with the use of pontoon, they begin to see and understand the benefits of time and cost saving.
