In response to the increasing demand for its high-performance water treatment systems, services, and advanced technologies, Membracon has acquired Specialist Plastic Manufacturing (SPM), and with it, 8,000 sq ft of fabrication and warehouse space.
Offering advanced water treatment solutions that include ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, clean water and effluent treatment, this important move by Membracon is set to strengthen its control, delivery, quality and lead times to its fast-growing customer base of UK utilities/Tier 1 contractors, industrial/AD-Biogas clients, as well as strategic partners.
Speaking from the newly acquired facility in Willenhall, Walsall, UK, Matt Williams, Membracon’s Managing Director, commented:
“We’re consistently showing how our water treatment technologies improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs. This important and very timely acquisition greatly enhances our in-house capabilities for stainless-steel fabrication, GRP and plastic process components, pipework assemblies, plus structural and mechanical builds.”
He added; “The larger space also allows us to conduct lab-scale trials and pilot rigs for water testing, process validation, flux testing, and pre-engineering optimisation – all of which means more benefits for our customers as they seek to improve water treatment. This latest stage of growth advances our position as a serious design & build partner for containerised and modular systems.”
