Aqua Enviro is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 2025 European Wastewater Management (EWWM) Conference, Europe’s premier event for wastewater professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your innovative solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and industry-leading research to over 300 wastewater professionals passionate about driving change in the sector.
Media scrutiny of UK water companies is at an all-time high, with the spotlight constantly falling on CSOs, environmental quality, and industry funding models. What this coverage often fails to mention is that the water sector is subject to both economic and environmental regulatory controls and that difficult choices need to be made.
Meanwhile, the climate emergency demands attention and will not await an improved fiscal landscape. As a sector, we are innovating, measuring, mitigating, engaging, and working together to develop a supply chain capable of meeting these challenges; but can we accelerate this process?
Abstracts are invited for both oral and poster presentations addressing the following topics:
- Process Emissions – with a focus on case studies of successful mitigation strategies, advances in measuring methodologies, examples of N2O reduction and improved effluent quality, and emissions from innovative process intensification technologies
- Catchment Approaches and Nature-Based Solutions
- Micropollutants and Emerging Contaminants
- The Circular Economy – pathways and technologies to achieve circularity
- Total Nitrogen Removal – how low can we go with existing infrastructure and/or with plant upgrades?
- Recovering Ammoniacal Nitrogen
- Phosphorus Removal – Achieving low P consents (case studies) and sustainable P-removal
- Phosphorus Recovery – Technologies, case studies, opportunities
- Delivering AMP8 and beyond – digital advances to drive the pace of change
- Spills, CSOs & Stormwater
Important note: All abstract submissions must include details of the carbon emissions of the project and how it can/could contribute to the circular economy.
Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 January 2025
