Description
Kurifloc is used primarily as a coagulant and charge neutralization in liquid-solid separation (LSS) processes. It can also be used in industrial and municipal effluents, oily and emulsified wastes, and process water clarification from river and well sources. In some applications, Kurifloc can be used as a standalone flocculant, meeting the requirements of the Association of American Feed Control Officials Incorporated (AAFCO) Section 73: Technical Additives Listing.
Reliable and consistent dissolve air flotation (DAF) management within process and water applications can result in a significantly reduced chemical demand. With Kurita’s Kurifloc, reduced operational costs are achievable through fewer asset repairs and failures. The characteristics of this formula promote strong particle flocculation and excellent fines capture. Kurifloc can reduce the amount of chemistry on-site.
An all-natural, readily biodegradable alternative, Kurifloc is non-toxic, ensuring that any overfeed is non-toxic to wastewater and aquatic life. This typically reduces a facility’s environmental footprint. As a result, regulatory compliance regarding plant effluent can be easier to attain and maintain.
Numerous problems may occur when there is an upset in pH, solids loading and temperature in the wastewater system, but Kurifloc is highly resistant to these changes and maintains its performance much better when compared to other coagulants. Kurifloc can reduce solids loading going to the final life or lagoon system as well as reduce skimming due to removing most metal salt solids.
Kurifloc has also known to have better capture rates at a reduced cost. It efficiently clarifies color and low turbidity waste streams, producing higher solids capture, and lower turbidity effluent.
