Curio Water UV maintenance Yorkshire Water partnership will see the company deliver maintenance and support services for UV disinfection systems across multiple sites in the UK.

Curio Water has secured a contract with Yorkshire Water to provide maintenance services across 12 operational sites. The agreement covers preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as emergency response support for UV disinfection systems.

The Curio Water UV maintenance Yorkshire Water contract includes servicing UV systems at a range of sites, including high-criticality coastal facilities where operational performance is closely linked to bathing water compliance.

Curio will deliver both scheduled maintenance and rapid-response support, ensuring that UV systems can be restored within defined timeframes in the event of failure.

The scope also includes enhanced cleaning services, reflecting the increased operational demands at coastal and environmentally sensitive locations.

Full-service UV support and asset management

Under the agreement, Curio will manage annual UV lamp replacements alongside the supply and coordination of critical spare parts. This includes on-site stock management and warranty support to maintain system availability.

The contract also introduces structured reporting processes, with detailed maintenance records, performance summaries and recommendations provided following each site visit.

This approach supports utilities in maintaining compliance while improving visibility over asset performance and lifecycle planning.

Growing demand for UV disinfection expertise

UV disinfection plays an increasingly important role in water and wastewater treatment, particularly in meeting regulatory requirements for pathogen removal and environmental protection.

As utilities seek to improve resilience and operational performance, demand for specialist maintenance and support services is growing across the sector.

The contract builds on Curio’s existing portfolio of work with UK water companies and reflects a broader trend towards outsourcing specialist treatment system maintenance.
