Leading water treatment specialist, Siltbuster, has launched a new Lamella Settlement Tank/Clarifier (AB150) to sit alongside its already extensive range of treatment solutions. The new product, developed and manufactured in the UK, has been designed to handle high flows of up to 200m³ per hour with a very large treatment and settlement area of 150m².
The new settlement tank has been designed in response to demands from multiple industries for a clarifier with a larger treatment capacity, but a lower footprint. It has also been developed to be highly mobile and quick to install, with a single lift from either a mobile (HIAB) or permanent crane.
The AB150 is perfectly suited for jobs across any sector that have a high level of suspended solids and flow rates, such as pipe flushes and projects that have an initial high flow requirements. The system’s clever and innovative internal design of lined twin hopper sections prevents a build-up of solids.
Just like many of Siltbuster’s fleet of modular systems, a re-agent dosing stage can be added to the treatment process, as well as sensors for monitoring the water quality for compliance.
The clarifier has been based on the footprint of a 20ft container, meaning that it provides easy, ground level access to bottom lifting blocks. It also eliminates high level access and strapping during transport due to twist locks secured to the vehicle. In addition, all moving and wear parts requiring servicing can be accessed from ground level without the need to work at height. However, walkways can easily be fitted for maintenance, inspection or cleaning.
Finally, the system does not require a concrete foundation pad and can be used on compacted hardcore, or uneven ground with the option to add/incorporate adjustable feet thanks to its ability to incorporate adjustable feet.
