MOSL has partnered with Sagacity, a data solutions company with extensive experience in the utilities sector, to provide the water Data Cleanse Service to the non-household market. Sagacity worked with MOSL to develop a case for change for the service and identified that the service would generate approximately £8m of annual benefit through reduced costs and increased revenue. This led to the development of a range of customer benefits, including accurate billing, tailored services, and improved consumption insight that could lead to lower customer bills.

Sagacity will utilize a range of third-party data sets to cleanse trading party data and provide files that enable trading parties to make recommended changes to improve quality. The project will focus on reviewing ineligible premises before moving to full-scale address cleanse. MOSL and Sagacity are committed to driving change that benefits the market, trading parties, and customers alike. John Davies, MOSL CIO, says Sagacity’s industry experience in delivering the Data Quality Assessment made them ideal candidates for the partnership. Meanwhile, Anita Dougall, Sagacity CEO, is confident in the Data Cleanse Service’s potential to drive real benefits and provide a sound platform for years to come.
