Masters Company, Inc. (MCI), a business unit of MFG Chemical, and a leader in the production and distribution of water quality test kits, is pleased to announce a quicker and more accurate Legionella Pnuemophilia field test kits.

Legionella Pnuemophilia Field Test KitsMasters Legionella field test kits allow the user to gain rapid determination of all Legionella sero groups without any requirements for expensive laboratory equipment.  Accurate within 1 CFU, Legionella levels are achieved in 20-minute sample processing time utilizing an innovative and proprietary filtration concentration method.  Rather than waiting for days or weeks to get a laboratory Legionella report, the test operator can have results in 20 minutes.

According to Gary Garcia, VP Masters Company , “The accuracy and speediness of results enable immediate remediation to halt and remove the Legionella in real time, avoiding serious health issues.”

Masters Company is distributing these new and improved water sample test kits for open or closed loops, as well as potable water sources. The Masters Legionella test system includes swab kits for testing surfaces, faucets and/or biofilms.  These new test kits can be utilized virtually anywhere LP is suspected.

Legionella Pnuemophilia Field Test KitsMasters LP test kits are manufactured by HydroSense and are validated by a third-party CDC Elite and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified laboratory.  Masters LP kits do not take the place of certified laboratory LP testing in those areas where regulatory requirements mandate laboratory certified testing, in which cases Masters field test kits can be fully utilized as a secondary cross check to begin immediate remediation if Legionella is found to be present.  Masters kits are  very useful where Legionella control programs are in place and validation is desired but not regulatorily mandated. General use Dip Slides are not Legionella specific, but Masters Legionella kits are. If a sample shows positive for Legionella, it can be sent to a certified laboratory for confirmation and specific identification,  and a microbial remediation program can be implemented immediately, preventing any further contamination or spread of Legionella.
