This work ensures that NRW fulfils its objectives and enhances the natural environment while embedding the principles of sustainable management of natural resources.

Binnies has been appointed to the Natural Resources Wales Water Consultancy Services Framework.  Building on our existing successful relationship with NRW, we will continue to deliver NRW capital programmes by predominantly servicing the following workstreams:

·        Flood risk management capital schemes and capital maintenance/repair;

·        Reservoirs Act compliance projects;

·        Hydrometric and telemetry assets construction and capital maintenance/repair;

·        Habitat management and creation;

·        Fish passage improvements;

·        Forestry Estate infrastructure (e.g. roads, culverts, bridges);

·        Environmental management

The framework will run for four years from summer 2024. The work carried out under the framework will be critical in making sure that the environment and natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, sustainably enhanced, and sustainably used, now and in the future.

We look forward to working with our experienced suppliers to sustainably manage and enhance the natural environment, through a collaborative, efficient framework that embeds NRW’s purpose and principles.”

Alex Humphreys, Framework Manager, Binnies, said: “We are very happy to be continuing our collaboration with NRW, a client that aligns with our sense of purpose and is focused on sustainability and improving the natural environment.
