UK company Morrison Utility Services is set to split into two companies, one looking after its water interests and one looking after Energy – Morrison Water Services and Morrison Energy Services.
Morrison Water Services will be a dedicated water infrastructure services business delivering a broader service portfolio to UK water sector clients, with Morrison Energy Services formed to deliver essential infrastructure services to the UK energy sector. The creation of Morrison Water Services will provide the platform for further, long-term and sustainable growth in the UK water sector.
Over recent years, the business has also grown its wastewater capability, securing a number of long-term water and wastewater frameworks.
Managing Director, John Edwards said: “Morrison Water Services will continue to deploy, develop and invest in innovative solutions that will help our clients to achieve their operational efficiency targets and ensure that capital delivery solutions are aligned to meet asset resilience, customer service and net zero carbon objectives.
“We have structured the new business to deliver its services in the most effective way, using emerging technical, digital and data-driven solutions to target leakage, eliminate supply interruptions, support flood reduction, and mitigate pollution incidents. This is an exciting chapter in our growth and we welcome the broader engineering opportunities that are already emerging to support our clients’ capital and operational investment needs, whilst achieving high levels of stakeholder and customer satisfaction.”
