California Officials to Launch Lake Elsinore Restoration Plan at Media Event, Including Installation of Nanobubble Generators on Barge
WHEN:
Friday, December 15 from 10 AM – 11:30AM PST
WHAT:
City of Lake Elsinore is hosting a media event at Lake Elsinore Launch Pointe to officially launch its comprehensive Lake management plan, the Roadmap to a Renewed and Restored Lake Elsinore.
Following years of combatting persistent algal blooms that caused multiple lake closures, the City is implementing a three-pronged plan that includes the installation of two nanobubble generators on a barge in the middle of the Lake. The nanobubble technology, which injects trillions of nanobubbles into the lake, brings oxygen to critical parts of the Lake to help it recover from eutrophication (an over-abundance of nutrients from stormwater run-off). This patented technology developed by Los Angeles-based Moleaer solves the root cause of the algae problem without the use of chemicals.
